Have you just bought a new home, only to find out that the old tenants didn't move everything out? Are you in the middle of remodeling and need to dispose of the waste drywall, roofing shingles and other miscellaneous things? Instead of making runs to the dump with your own vehicle, here are some reasons to contact a dumpster rental service instead:

Less expensive: Taking your items directly to the dump requires that you pay a fee for every load. Every often, your load will be charged by weight. If all you have is an old couch or other piece of old furniture, this fee may not be much. However, if you're throwing out damaged flooring, pieces of concrete or other heavy items, the fees can quickly add up. A dumpster rental service will charge you a flat fee. Depending on the rental agreement and dumpster size, they may drop a dumpster off at your property and then come around once a month to empty it. Or, for a flat fee, they will allow you as long as you need with a very large dumpster. This will allow you to make the most of it and fill it as full as you can.

Saves time: If you have a large volume of items that need to be thrown away, it could mean five, ten or even more trips to the dump. There may be a long line, meaning that each trip could take an hour or more. If you have an especially large project, this could mean spending nearly as much time at the dump as actually working. On the other hand, a dumpster rental service will leave the dumpster right outside. Most items will take only a few minutes to throw away, allowing you to quickly get back to work. Larger items may take a little longer, but will ultimately still be faster than a trip to the dump.

Less help required: If you're taking things to the dump, you may need someone extra to help you load and unload. Without sufficient assistance, you could end up denting your truck or scratching the paint job. With a dumpster rental service, it doesn't matter if you scratch the paint or add a ding or two to the dumpster. Unlike personal vehicles, dumpsters don't need to look pretty and the dumpster rental company won't care about an imperfection or two. Instead of wondering whether or not enough help will arrive, you can concentrate your attention on other important matters.
